Sometimes, life has a way of bringing people back into your world.

More than thirty years ago, I worked with a woman named Gabrielle in a hospital pharmacy in my hometown of Easton. She and I were friends but like so many people we encounter along the way, we eventually went our separate ways, and life carried on.

Recently, we reconnected.

I learned that Gabrielle has been dealing with cancer and the enormous physical, emotional, and financial challenges that come with it. She’s been undergoing treatment and facing medical expenses that continue to add up.

It’s one of those situations where you wish there were something you could do to make things a little easier.

I can’t change what she’s going through. But I can do something. And maybe, with your help, we can do something together.

Twenty signed books. Twenty opportunities to help.

I’m offering 20 personally signed copies of my brand new novel, The Seventh Echo, as thank-you gifts to people who make a donation of $25 or more directly to Gabrielle’s GoFundMe.

I’ll provide the books, personally sign each one, and even cover the cost of shipping them to you anywhere in the U.S.

Every donation goes directly through Gabrielle’s fundraiser—not through me.

If all 20 copies are claimed, we’ll generate at least $500 in donations (before GoFundMe’s processing fees).

It’s a modest gesture in the grand scheme of things, but I’ve always believed that small acts of kindness have a way of adding up.

How to get your signed copy

It’s simple:

First, send me a message through my Facebook author page to reserve a book. You should see a Message button on the main page. Please do this before donating so I can confirm that one of the 20 copies is still available. Consider Liking the page to stay informed and updated.

Once I’ve confirmed your reservation, make a donation of at least $25 directly to Gabrielle’s GoFundMe:

Then send me your donation confirmation and mailing address privately through Messenger with any personalization of the book you’d like signed. You can obscure any sensitive payment information on the confirmation.

I’ll take care of the rest.

A little kindness goes a long way

Writing a book is a deeply personal experience. Having someone read it is a gift in itself. But if The Seventh Echo can also help someone I knew all those years ago, even in a small way, that makes sharing the story a little more meaningful.

And if you’ve already read the book or simply aren’t interested in receiving a signed copy, please consider visiting Gabrielle’s GoFundMe and making a donation anyway. Sharing her fundraiser with others would also mean a great deal.

Thank you for reading, for helping, and for reminding me that sometimes the best thing we can do is simply show up for someone.
