For months, August 18th was circled on my calendar. Everything seemed to be leading toward that date. Writing. Editing. Formatting. Cover adjustments. Pre-orders. Countdown posts.

Then August 18 arrived. The Seventh Echo was officially released and the countdown was over.

Fortunately, the fun is now just getting started!

There’s something wonderfully unsettling about knowing people are out there reading a story that existed only inside my head for so long. Somewhere, someone might be meeting Dan for the first time. Someone else might already be suspicious of Danny. And maybe somebody is reading late at night wondering whether turning off the bedroom light was such a good idea. I’ve had people from the U.K. and as far away as India reading the new book.

This Saturday, August 29th, I’ll be at the Doylestown Bookshop in Doylestown, PA from 1-3 p.m. for the very first “The Seventh Echo” book-signing event.

If you’re in the Bucks County / Philadelphia area, come say hello. We can talk books and writing. You can even ask about the story—although I’m not giving away the ending. What I will be giving away are free Seventh Echo bookmarks, stickers and custom cover cards.

Normally the author spends book signings writing their name inside books for readers (and I will certainly do that for you), but I also thought it might be fun to turn that whole dynamic around.

I’ll be bringing a large poster of The Seventh Echo cover to Doylestown with me, and I’m inviting everyone who stops by to sign it for me.

When this whole adventure is over, I’d like to have something that reminds me of the people who were part of it.

If you’re not able to make it to Doylestown on August 29th, I’ll also be at the Barnes & Noble in Easton, PA signing copies of “The Seventh Echo” on Saturday, September 5th from 1-4 p.m.

Once a book is released, it begins another life in the imagination of its readers. This Saturday, I get to meet some of those readers for the first time. And after spending so much time alone with Dan, Laurie, Danny and the secrets of Fairmont, I’m really looking forward to that.

The book is out. The countdown is over. Now let’s make some new memories!

Speaking of memories…

Childhood Memories and Nostalgia

Have you read some of my latest nostalgic posts about growing up? Head on over to my website for all of the latest articles currently trending. You can also Browse Topics and then choose the category “Life.” Leave a comment if you can relate, or share your own stories. I’d love to read them.

Coming in 2027

I’m currently working on an original presentation for the Allentown Public Library called “From Idea to Bookshelf: The Creative and Self-Publishing Process.”

It will be the story of my journey over the last 15 years from blogger to freelance entertainment writer to published author. I’ll discuss how an idea develops into a story, creating characters, the creative process and everything from formatting the manuscript to finished product.

I’ll present ideas, anecdotes and things I’ve learned along the way that I hope will inspire you to follow your own creative dreams.

Best part? The program is absolutely FREE to attend. More info to come!
